I am 42 and a Korean-American who was adopted as a baby. I'm happily married now and have two children who are 10 and 12 years old. I grew up in Pennsylvania, but have lived in Arizona the last 30 years. I've previously worked in hotels/hospitality and now work in chauffeured transportation.
I am most inspired by the constant need to fulfill my hunger of new adventures. With this inspiration comes the desire to maximize the use of my senses, and the best way to capture my visual sense of these experiences is by taking pictures. My hope is that by sharing these moments, that I am able to inspire others of how beautiful our world can be.
I've often been asked "what is more important, the adventure or taking photos?" For me, the adventure always comes first. But I am motivated to be able to take pictures that have the chance of convincing people to get out and explore. I get excited by trying to find unique angles or different perspectives.
Like most hobby photographers, I enjoy sharing my photos on social media. As an Arizona resident for almost 30 years, I was able to experience Horseshoe Bend before it became "instafamous". But it was a trip there about a year ago when I took my kids, that I realized the limitations my phone had in capturing the whole landscape.
After researching options, I learned about the Olloclip lenses and decided that they were exactly what I needed. I suggested to my wife the Filmer's Kit that was on sale at the time and was "surprised" when I received it for Christmas.
The Olloclip lenses give me the flexibility to adventure without the burden of carrying the extra weight of a traditional camera. Without the wide-angle options, I wouldn't be able to capture some of the landscapes I've explored.
By sharing my photos, I've been able to make new friends and meet like minded people. I get a great deal of pleasure taking people to places that I have been to before, and watching their faces light up with the same amazement as I had experienced.

I was invited to hike Half Dome by Anthony after messaging each other on Instagram about some hikes in Arizona. After meeting him for the first time at four o'clock in the morning in a dark parking lot in Yosemite, I look back on that trip and I am grateful that I accepted the invitation.
As I previously would go on adventures by myself most of the time, I'm enjoying sharing them with others now. I would like to recognize Anthony Leon-Guerrero for sharing his inspiration of exploring with me. I appreciate the motivation and support that he gives me in life and also with my photography.
Meet Anthony on Instagram.
