Darius Arya is an American-born Ph.D. and Archeologist who fell in love with ancient Rome at a young age. For the past 18 years, Darius has lived in the city and has dedicated his career to not only learning about, but sharing the wonderful tales of the mysterious Italian capital. With a history spanning more than two and half thousand years, Rome provides him with more than a picturesque backdrop, but an unlimited resource to digging, exploring and educating to uncover even more information about the architecture and way of life in the ancient Roman era.
Through social media outlets like Periscope, Instagram and Facebook, he has captured the eye of mass audience and modernized the way culture and history is being shared. Although Darius is just as comfortable in front of the proverbial black board, he prefers to be in the trenches sharing his experiences as they happen through live broadcasting.
In his free time, Darius directs a non-profit educational organization for the American Institute for Roman Culture and has appeared as a guest lecturer, expert and host in numerous documentaries for Discovery, History and National Geographic channels and has been cited for articles in CNN, Time, The Guardian and BBC.
