Andy Nguyen is what you would call a college dropout. But for Andy the stereotype simply doesn’t apply. At age 19, he decided to jump into entrepreneurism with both feet opening his first business with a couple friends, a real estate appraisal company. Never one to get stagnant, at 21 he took his love for fashion and apparel to the next level with the creation of a street-level clothing company called IMKING. But that still wasn’t enough. Andy’s true passion was the culinary world. Seeing a void in his local Orange County hometown scene, Andy set out to make culinary creations you simply only dreamed of combining.
He launched his first concept, Afters Ice Cream in 2014 - and there was no looking back. Known for clean minimalist interior design and the ubiquitous Milky Bun (a warm donut stuffed with cold flavorful ice cream), Afters reinvented the ice cream parlor and experimented with flavors like cinnamon toast crunch and cookie monster.
Since introducing Afters, Andy has launched five different food concepts as well as a marketing company. His latest project, Pig Pen Delicacy, is a new take on American comfort food using an array of modern interpretations of bacon and pork favorites.
